One of the most famous types of mussel poisoning in Norway is DSP - diarrhetic shellfish poisoning. At the DSP gets diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain after eating toxic shellfish chocolate dessert shells or crabs.
DSP is usually caused by a group of compounds within the group called okadaic acid toxin. In some cases like symptoms chocolate dessert shells caused by a group of toxins called azaspiracids.
