Today we start on our portal inhabitants of Piešťany new series in the world - the inhabitants of Piešťany who are permanently or on time for work or personal reasons settled in one of the countries of the world. First published interview with Christine Šándorova the great gatsbay who lives for the fifth year in the Cayman Islands. From the narrative of the traveler's dreams, emotions, philosophy of life and the reality of the islands feel immense positive energy and joy of life. So go ahead, take a moment to transfer the exotic islands in the Caribbean, where time goes somewhat slower sea surf strikes the white sands and fishing boat at dawn just are brought fresh fish ...
From a young age I have traveled a lot, parents would take us on trips throughout Europe. So for me, the everyday travel as waking up to a new day. I never know what to expect, and it's very exciting. When I was 15 years old parents sent me to a summer practice in Austria. German I almost could not speak at all, I did not know where I'm going. It was a great experience. I learned the language fluently and I traveled. Then I found myself enchanted adrenaline of traveling, a sense of freedom, getting to know new countries, cultures, religions, language the great gatsbay ... I traveled in a large part of the globe. the great gatsbay In Munich I lived four years, then I went to study in Sydney, where I spent three years, meanwhile, the U.S. and Hawaii, and eventually Cayman Islands.
Joj not Caymans were no plans. I always the great gatsbay wanted to settle in Sydney. I will never forget the moment when me about four in the morning the phone rang and the call was from the Cayman Islands. At that time I was studying the great gatsbay in Sydney and I had no idea where the islands are ;-). When I found out that it is on the map tiniest dot in the Caribbean, I lost my speech. Originally from Sydney, I had to go to Hawaii and further study in England, but when I approved the Caymans working visa, I changed my plans.
I came to the Caymans for work. It was originally just a three-month plan to earn some money for college, see your island the great gatsbay and leave. But the islands are so pleased me that three months is now five years. From my childhood I had a dream to live on the island every day to see palm trees, beach, ocean, seashells and sun, it brings me happiness and peace.
Now, when I thought about it, I have to say that I have really nice "normal" day. Almost every morning I wake up to sunshine, I looked out the window and see palm trees, sand and ocean - my childhood dream was fulfilled. I work mostly in the afternoon, so I have the day off. I go to yoga in the morning, then it's the great gatsbay a meeting with friends at lunch, stroll on the beach, sometimes staying on the beach or invent another activity. The island is small, drive around the whole island is about an hour journey. I am fortunate that I am surrounded by a very kind and extremely cordial and interesting people, so you are never bored and always come up with something.
Natives the great gatsbay know to enjoy life and especially the ever nestresujú. Go to work, many of the residents own boats, so have regular fisheries and their whole day depends on what is and will be the weather.
Exotic country I love, so I had no problem with it. The problem I had at the beginning of the "size" of the island. I came from Sydney, which is huge and traveling several the great gatsbay hours before moving to the other side of the city. In the beginning it was difficult, I felt like in a cage, it's something like island fever. But I found a way with the "fight". Every 2-3 months I traveled from island to Jamaica, Cuba, Honduras, Miami, New York. I also learned patience - the islands everything takes longer. They all have a lot of time and do not address whether some thing will be fitted tomorrow, day after tomorrow, or next month. They take life as it comes, and live each day that will not bother them later today.
I liked the immense comfort, collectivity, friendliness and domestic human freedom at any time to jump into the sea. And what I miss? Certainly my family and friends that I have in Slovakia. After 13 years in exotic countries but I certainly missing the snow and Christmas with snow. I always laugh when I see instead jedličiek Christmas decorations on palms. :-) Two years ago I was after 10 years at home for Christmas and it was like a fairy tale. I was like a child, I sat up and looked out the window as snow. Baking cookies, cleaning before Christmas, carols, midnight mass and also Easter, it is tradition to which we will never forget them once and I will remind my children.
Piestany I've always liked, it is a lovely town. I like that everywhere ch
