This new Sativa strain is named after a city and a center of Buddhism in Burma, of which the original seed from the breeders seashell dragon of the Ministry of Cannabis selected the mother plant of Mandalay, originates.
The Breeder invested several years to develop Mandalay and stabilize the new MoC Sativa. Initially, all plants were eliminated with an excessively long or short flowering period, and all had the obvious weaknesses.
When they had finally seashell dragon selected the correct parent plant, it has been crossed with a male Chronic. This original Chronic Strain, has long been used by many coffee shops in Amsterdam for the production of cannabis flowers and has proven itself over the years. The Chronic seashell dragon is a real strain classic, robust and resistant, with a high yield, large quantities, seashell dragon with a sweet resin coated, thick buds, so the dream of every cash Croppers. The aim of the breeder of the Ministry of Cannabis was to combine seashell dragon the unique seashell dragon flavor and special high Burmese Sativa with the proven properties of Chronic. After a few more breeding experiments, reciprocating and backcrossing the result was finally a 3/4 almost pure Sativa.
Mandalay brings a high yield, but does not grow beyond this too high and has an average flowering time of 9 weeks. For a mostly-Sativa therefore quite a low heyday. The aroma is reminiscent of vanilla, melts easily in the mouth and leaves an aftertaste of liquorice
