A few weeks ago my father brought me a bag of beautiful oranges, seedless and very juicy ... the last of the tree for this year: too good to let them end up in a few days! Too beautiful to even make jam, though! How many times I want to decorate a cake or a cheesecake! ... Why not try to keep then for those occasions, already cut and ready to use? After a quick look around on the web for times and doses have arrived here and in less than no time my orange slices were cooked and potted! Until next time!
Ingredients: - 900 grams of oranges BIO without end - 900 g sugar - half a glass of water - half a glass of limoncello its great Lava very good oranges, spazzolandole well. Tagliane ends and pesale. Meanwhile, put the sugar in a large pot with water and bring to the boil sciropp him, causing him to cook for about ten minutes. Cut the oranges into slices not too thin ... about half a cm should be fine ... and remove the seeds away if there were to be. Dipping the slices in the syrup, add the limoncello and cook everything for at least 15 minutes (depends on the oranges) and in any case until the skin is not soft but al dente. With a slotted spoon remove the lens away from the pan and arrange them in jars already immaculately clean and sterilized, cover and seal without continuing to cook the syrup for at least another quarter of an hour. Pour boiling water into the jars over the orange slices. Close tightly and flip the jars upside down until it will be very cold. Surely you will advance the syrup. Invasalo and keep it aside to flavor cakes, to dilute it with rum and use it to wet a sponge cake, to be paid out of cracks, cheesecake or pancakes or simply to sweeten hot tea. The orange slices are delicious and can be eaten for breakfast, on a slice of bread and cheese, or to decorate cakes and plum cakes like these:
