Hi I'm brand new here and seeing my Gastro doctor next week. So glad I found this forum because I have tons of questions. My whole adult life I have had gastro intestinal issues. Multiply loose stools is the norm for me. Usually I have had 3+ bm's before dragon city seashell I leave for work at 8:30. Some days it is much worse I have had upward to 9. I was diagnosed with Barrett's Esophogas in 1998. Have been on Omeprozole since. Currently taking 40mg/day. I was diagnosed with diverticulitis in 2003. I was pretty sick for about 6 months and had a CT to rule out an abscess . I also had a colonoscopy that was inconclusive but did show Diverticulia. From that point on I have had several bouts. My adult son was diagnosed 2 years ago with Crohn's. He takes Pentasa 2x day and is doing pretty well, a couple of small flares. After he was diagnosed I called dragon city seashell my GI Doc and discussed some of my symptoms. dragon city seashell I had a small bowel follow thru and it only showed dragon city seashell a hiatal hernia. Last year my mother was also diagnosed dragon city seashell with Crohns. Although she began a course of Pentasa she passed away shortly after unrelated to Crohns. I have constant lower left abdominal pains. It is constant some days mild some days worse. I also have lower left sided back pain that can be really bad. I have constant mouth sores (canka). I was treated for a sore throat in Feb. and had several canka sores in my throat. My reg. GP said it was viral. It ended up that one on the back of my tongue abscessed. Finally on antibiotics. I also get cracked lips at the mouth corners that take a long time to heal. On to the bum issues. I have tags on the top and bottom of my bum. I bleed lightly semi regularly although it is usually just on the tissue. My bum is occasionally itchy or sore. I don't know if I have forgotten anything but what are the really important dragon city seashell things I should be telling my Gastro doc. I will be scheduled for both endoscopy and coloscopy after the office visit on Tues. One more thing I seem to vomit more often than most people. I do have a low gag tolerance. Thanks for any help or suggestions.
My son has crohn's but my mother-in-law dragon city seashell has diverticulitis. Her diverticulitis has been very difficult to treat and has landed her in the hospital about 5 times and she has had surgery twice. It has been very difficult to treat and she never feels as though she gets good answers from her Dr.'s. Her symptoms in many ways are like crohn's disease but when she was scoped there was no inflammation and her biopsies came up clean. I know when I was having stomach problems my GI said that he never knows what he will find. Some people with very mild symptoms are a mess and others with horrible symptoms dragon city seashell look great. The endoscopy and colonoscopy are both the gold standard in diagnosing crohn's disease. Once your Dr. does these and takes biopsies you should know what you are dealing with. So I guess I am saying that based on your symptoms, it could be either dragon city seashell in my experience. Hopefully your Dr. will figure out which and be able to get you some treatment and feeling better. Please let us know how you are getting along. (((((Hugs)))))

Welcome to the forum, paticake! If I were you, I would ask: - What are the chances that I have Crohn's, considering my family history and symptoms? dragon city seashell - What are the other possibilities? - What tests do you want to do to determine what is going on? - Are there any dietary or lifestyle changes I can make to help alleviate symptoms? dragon city seashell - Are there any symptoms I need to watch for / contact you if they appear? Also, the cracked mouth corners can indicate anemia . I get them from time to time when my iron is low. It might be connected to the rectal bleeding you're experiencing. It might be a good idea to request that your vitamin levels be checked. I hope it goes well! Please let us know. __________________
I would also ask to have a stool sample, test for fecal procreation , and for parasites... Have them do a complete blood count, test for CRP ,ESR, vitamin d , b12, folic acid, iron, liver enzymes Hopefully you get or answers, I know what that feels like!
Saw my GI this am. I am having an endoscopy and colonoscopy in April. Today I had a full IBD panel. Also Prometh? something? My Doc said symptoms and strong family history suggests dragon city seashell Crohn's. He also noted that i have a really large hiatal hernia that they want to look at also. I'll let you guys know. Glad to have a place to ask questions. Thanks!
